For industrial floor coatings, few products can match the long-lasting durability and aesthetic properties of Polyurethane sealers, also known as urethane topcoats. Duraamen’s two-component urethane topcoats provide excellent protection against scuffing, marring and general wear and tear. They also offer excellent chemical and impact resistance, are non-yellowing when exposed to sunlight and have excellent gloss retention. This makes them ideally suited for use in warehouses, storage facilities, maintenance facilities, aircraft hangers, hospitals, restaurants or in any other high traffic / high wear application.

When urethane topcoats were first developed they were solvent based, also known as solventborne. To ease growing concerns about the environment and to comply with low VOC legislation, water based polyurethane was developed. The evolution of these waterborne urethane topcoats has produced products that have equal or greater performance and aesthetic properties than their solventborne counterparts. Today water based polyurethane topcoats are available in many formulas to fit the requirements of almost any project.

Moisture cured polyurethane (MCU) is yet another variation of polyurethane sealer. These one-component urethane topcoats are most often used as an effective and economical solution where steel or wood is the substrate. MCU’s can be applied without regards to weather conditions—temperature, humidity and dew point. They are fast drying and UV resistant. They are ideally suited for new construction, wood floors, gymnasiums, basketball courts and the like.

Duraamen offers a number of polyurethane topcoats designed to meet the requirements of most any project. All of our urethane topcoats are ultra high performance, durable and non-yellowing. They can be obtained in gloss, satin or matte finishes. From solvent based polyurethanes and moisture cured polyurethanes which offer excellent chemical and hot-tire pickup resistance, to water based polyurethane topcoats that are fast drying and comply with low VOC regulations, Duraamen has you covered.
